  2. Earth Day Community Park Clean-up

    April 17, 2021, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ AJ Padelford Park & North Artesia Community Center

    THIS SATURDAY, APRIL 17TH FROM 9AM-12PM: Help clean up AJ Padelford Park in celebration of Earth Day! Clean up tasks will include removal of overgrown vegetation and weeds, picking up trash, painting, and more. Tools and supplies will be provided! COVID-19 safety protocols will be strictly followed. Face masks and Onsite Health Screenings/Temperature Checks will be required. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. Participants must wear face coverings for the duration of the event and maintain 6 feet of distance from other participants. Do not attend if you are sick, have been asked to quarantine, or have traveled outside of California within the 10 days leading up to the event. All participants must sign a waiver before the event begins. Parent/legal guardian signature is required on registration/waiver forms for those 17 years and under.   3. Proposed Business Grant Program Virtual Workshop - CDBG CV-2/3 Funding

    The City of Artesia is seeking community feedback on a proposed small business grant program! The program, if applied for and approved, would provide grants to Artesia businesses that have been negatively impacted by COVID-19 and meet certain other eligibility requirements. Funding would come from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Coronavirus Round 2 & 3 funding from the CARES Act passed in March of 2020 by Congress. The community workshop will take place Monday, April 19th from 3PM-4PM to learn more about the proposed program and ask any questions you may have.
