I would like to know who is funding radio television Artesia? If RTA is using tax payers money. Then this should be a public access channel and not solely a Portuguese channel. I just believe that this channel should represent our Artesian community. The city council meetings should be in this channel. This channel should be used to promote our local businesses, like things to do in Artesia. Where to eat in Artesia, etc.

I would like to see the City of Artesia make use of the official Twitter account to actively engage the community by tweeting City Council meeting dates, new regulation change links to PDFs, announcements and pictures of public events, etc.
Some tweets of course will need the consent of the participants but I would like to see two to five tweets a week on what is happening in our city hall and city meetings. This is one way to drive engagement beyond those who attend the meetings in person.

I attend a gift giveaway every year in the Artesia neighborhood called CHIVAS (Dec 24th) . Bobby Medina and several other people get together to give to all the kids that come out of their homes a nice holiday gift. I think it would be great o have someone from the city to come join us and recognize Bobby Medina for his continued commitment to Artesia. Bobby does not do this for community recognition he does from the heart, which is why I feel he should be recognized for it. The amazing part of this is, I myself was raised in CHIVAS as a child and I recall what a great community Artesia was for me and my family, especially free lunch at Paddleford Park... Paddleford park is still just as committed to the people of CHIVAS, Ernestina and the young director are involved also, forgot his name but I know he lives and drives from Chino to for work at the park:). If you have any questions my name is Ernie Rivas and my tele number is 714-615-3141
