1. How do I register for a class or program?

You can register for a class by visiting the recreation office at:

Or you may register for a class by printing the registration form at home, and mailing it along with a check for the class fee to the address above.

2. How do I sign up for the lunch program?

To sign up for the lunch program, you must be 60 years of age or older, and you will need to call 562-924-6509 at least 24 hours in advance.

3. Who gets to use the Artesia Express Shuttle?

The Artesia Express is a free local shuttle service for Artesia residents who are at least 60 years old or who are disabled.

4. How do I sign up / sign my parent up for the Artesia Express?

To sign up for the Artesia Express, you must make an appointment with the recreation office to receive a rider card. You will need to bring a photo ID and proof of residency. Appointments can be made at 562-860-3361.

5. How do I rent the facility for a party?

To rent the facility you will need to fill out a Facility Use Application and submit it to the recreation office via the website or at 18750 Clarkdale Ave. A staff member will process the request and contact you within 5 working days.

6. I would like to teach a class at a community center, how can I do this?

Please download the Contract Class Proposal from the website and submit it via email or at:

A staff member will review your proposal and contact you within 5 workings days to set up a follow up meeting.
