Veterans Day is right around the corner, and as always Artesia is ready to honor our region's veterans. This year, a special focus will be given to Vietnam veterans.
Since there is such a wide variety of veterans, from those who served during times of war and times of peace, Artesia usually focuses on a particular group of veterans in its theme. This year, that group is Vietnam veterans. However, it's important to note that the ceremony is in honor of all veterans.
This year, the event will be on November 9, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Artesia Park, 18750 Clarkdale Avenue, at the Veterans Memorial.
There will be numerous resources available for veterans, from medical information to veterans groups. Informative displays of military equipment will also be on hand for visitors. This is a family friendly event.
