City Opens Cooling Centers

The City of Artesia is making two facilities available as Cooling Centers to ensure those impacted by the intense heat expected over the next several days have a place in which to find relief.  The City's Cooling Center at the Albert O. Little Community Center, located at Artesia Park will be open through Friday, September 9th from 12 to 5 p.m.  The North Artesia Community Center at A.J. Padelford Park will also serve as a Cooling Center, and will be open through Friday, September 9th from 2 to 5 p.m. Please visit https://ready.lacounty.gov/heat for information on how to stay cool and safe during this heat wave.  For more information, please contact the Parks and Recreation Services Department at 562-860-3361.
