On Wednesday, March 23, 2016, Artesia's Special Assignment Team Deputies along with station Volunteers donned their hair nets and gloves to help serve local senior citizens at the annual Senior's Easter Luncheon at the Artesia Community Center.
Ordinarily local seniors gather to socialize and participate in various daily events, but this day was unique. It was a time for the seniors to gather and dance to oldies music while Deputies and Volunteers served them. Mayor Victor Manalo and Councilwoman Sally Flowers also celebrated with local seniors, sitting at tables and eating alongside them.
They also participated in a drawing where various items were given away. It was another great day in the city of Artesia!
