The City of Artesia invites you to a Bulky Item Collection Event on Saturday, September 17th. The event will be held at Artesia Park (Clarkdale side) from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. (or until the bins are filled) and will allow City residents to dispose of items such as furniture, appliances or mattresses. The event will be held on a first-come, first-served basis. Proof of residency is required.
The City is also partnering with the County of Los Angeles to host a Household Hazardous and Electronic Waste Drive-Thru Collection Event on the same day. The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the parking lot near the Library (Elaine side). This event is open to L.A. County residents and will accept items such as antifreeze, TV's, and cell phones, which can't be disposed of in the regular trash. There is a limit of 15 gallons or 125 pounds of hazardous waste per trip. Call City Hall at 562-865-6262, Ext. 262 for more information.
