The City of Artesia has received an Urban and Community Forestry Grant from the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (“CAL FIRE”) totaling $878,336.56. The grant will fund an update to the City’s tree inventory, the development of an urban forest master plan, and the planting of about 400 new trees throughout the City of Artesia between this summer and Spring 2022.
