The City of Artesia is planning for the extension of Metro’s Southeast Gateway Line (Formerly the West Santa Branch) in Artesia. The Specific Plan creates a walkable, livable, and attractive downtown for residents and future visitors.
The Artesia Downtown Specific Plan (ADSP) has been adopted! At its regular meeting held on July 14, 2025, the Artesia City Council approved the resolution to adopt the Final Environmental Impact Report (FEIR) and held the first reading of the ordinance to adopt the ADSP. Subsequently, the City Council adopted the ordinance, as well as amendments to the General Plan and the Zoning Code, at its regular meeting on August 11, 2025.
