Since the COVID-19 pandemic was declared a local emergency in March by the Artesia City Council, the City has taken many steps to support the local business community and to help them continue to operate safely as much as possible throughout the pandemic. Steps the City has taken including finding ways to work flexibly with businesses to help them stay open in accordance with health guidelines, connecting them to resources, and encouraging residents to shop and dine locally, among many others.
