The Veteran Banner Program was created for the residents of Artesia to honor and recognize active duty and retired military personnel that reside in the City of Artesia. Banners will display the official photo of the service person, as well as their name, and will be displayed along Pioneer Boulevard during the month of November in celebration of Veteran's Day.
Banners are FREE for Artesia Residents who wish to have a banner of themselves, or their loved ones displayed.
To qualify for a banner, the honored service member must be a resident of the City of Artesia. Families with deceased service members they would like to honor must be City of Artesia residents in order to have a banner honoring their loved one. Applicants must complete the online registration form in order to register for a banner and email a photo of the service member (preferably their official military portrait) to recreation@cityofartesia.us in order to get the banner printed.
For more information, please contact the Parks & Recreation Department via email at recreation@cityofartesis.us.
The City of Artesia is proud to have 17 Veterans honored with a banner this year.
